Pearl Harbor and September 11th…Day in America’s History and of Infamy
9/11. Pearl Harbor. These are days that will live forever in infamy as not only defining moments in U.S. history but the world as well. From her isolationist views just before World War II, America was awakened from her slumber as Japanese bombs rained down on the American fleet on December 7th. American then flexed her mighty muscle leading the Allies in defeating the Axis Powers led by Nazi Germany. On 9/11 terrorists who were afraid to bring the fight head on, chose instead a cowardly path of murdering the innocent in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93. As America rested on that early fateful day on September 11, 2001, she was ruthlessly attacked in an unconscionable act of war.
Let’s Roll. America will never be the same again as her people will never forget those who died. For those of us who survive, we continue to carry the flag of peace and democracy fighting around the world against terror and for the rights of people for self-rule. America is a shining light, a beacon on a hill, symbolized by the great gift from the people of France, the Statue of Liberty standing tall to embrace the weary and the broken hearted.
America is an amazing country where all are free to pursue a life of our own choosing. Free to live and work where we will, while being able to enjoy the inalienable rights as guaranteed by the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Fight for America, fight for your neighbors, fight for what is good and right in sharing that all in the world are entitled to enjoy the breath and humanity of freedom.
Stand up and fight America!
