Alpharetta/Atlanta/Duluth CPA on Presenting Your Plans Before the Lord…Taking Christianity Into the World
Below are excerpts from but a piece of the many, many communications that we have daily, nightly, weekly and monthly to prepare our minds and more importantly our hearts for what God will have us do on our Family Mission Trip to Serve our Native Americans the Navajo on the Reservation in Pueblo Pintado, NM:
We will be Meeting Thursday 3-25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fontera Mex. Rest. in the Kroger Shopping Ctr. on Sugarloaf Pwky. across from the Gwinnett Civic Ctr.
There we will be discussing:
-The new criteria for construction and service projects which shows favoritism towards projects for which a family member/Friends/advocate there on the reservation can work alongside us. This year our construction goal is to see what we can do to partner with the Navajo. When locals are unable to work such as Nelson, we will be seeking for both Philip and Marcus to help, for it is in working alongside of others that we will best be able to support, encourage and share God’s love.
-In preparation of this meeting, I am asking Mark and Nathan to go ahead and call out to NM to share our new policy and to see what projects lay ahead for us and to start planning on what we need to do/required tools/materials.
-This year we will have the A Team and B Team Construction
-The A Team will be led by Nathan and consist of adult men and women who desire to do/get assigned to do construction as well as several of the older teens. All things being equal we will also show favor to those projects that have already purchased and have on site the required supplies. If at all possible I am hoping that at least two of the A Team can arrive early on the reservation to scout projects and to buy needed supplies on Saturday. That way we can if need be, we can do any initial set up work to get larger service projects started late Saturday/Sunday.
-The B Team will be led by Mark and will at times consist of just a few of our teens to almost all, as well as most/all the Navajo teens. Team B will focus on service projects that will be Construction Lite’ projects such as staining, painting, laying gravel etc. As many of these projects may be smaller we are asking that as many Navajo as possible have all of the items/parts ready and on site to complete required projects on their homes.
As with all missions there is a certain amount of “flux” and this will be no different. However each day I envision the Bugs4Christ and the A Team will get started early and then the B team shortly thereafter. Mark, you will be free to pull from both the Navajo and our teens (that are assigned to our group) to pull them out at any time to head off to work on service projects. Kevin and John of Bugs for Christ are working together to coordinate the work to rebuild the VW and sports camp, but with predominant emphasis place on the many man hours required for the VW rebuild.
Then towards twelve to two’ish in the afternoon that ALL Sports camp participants and then later in the day some of the Bugs4Christ personnel will join us on Service Projects. As such Mark, please be sure to find us at least one larger construction project that we can work on during the week. Please also check with Mr. Spade to see what items he might need/want us to address.
As we ready our plans and submit them before God, I pray that He alone be honored by our efforts!!!!
