Sugarloaf United Methodist Church: Transforming Lives

Sugarloaf United Methodist Church Presents How to Fast

Transforming Lives Through Self-Sacrifice…Offered by Beyond the Walls Ministry

As a church body we are looking to be obedient to the Holy Spirit.  Mike Devine  will lead us in learning the values of fasting in preparation for  our summer mission efforts. God is going to honor our efforts in ways that will surprise, inspire and delight us all.

We are having short informational meetings after each service this Sunday (May 16) in the Town Hall to introduce/invite people to participate in the fast.  There will be a short announcement in our Worship Service but please invite your teams, Sunday School classes, Bible Studies, etc. to attend the meeting.  Mike Devine will lead the meeting and will discuss the why and how we fast; what to expect and the spiritual significance of the fast.

Even if you are not participating in the fast, please attend one of the meetings so you are knowledgeable should any of your team members have questions.  If you have fasted before please feel free to share your stories as examples and encouragement.
