Atlanta /Alpharetta/Grayson CPA on Serving the Homeless of Atlanta…You Never Know What Blessing You Are Going to Get…Taking Christianity Into the World

When my family serves the Homeless Women, Men and Children of Atlanta, you never now what you are going to get. This Christmas Day, my family put down traditions, food and gift giving and gave as Jesus would…by serving our fellow alongside our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. This Christmas Day like all days that we set aside our own needs and desires, God showed up in a fabulous and majestic way when William sang for us. Open your heart and listen to William at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocrW8D3VYJY  I invite you to join us as we Serve the Kingdom of God by Taking Christianity Into the World.

Pastor 7 with 7 Bridges to Recovery is doing great things to Feed the Homeless of Atlanta while spreading the word of God. I suggest you go down and see what he is doing on the weekends to take the message to the streets of Atlanta. I believe he would be a great speaker to the whole congregation and Discipleship Groups as people are looking for opportunities to get real with their faith by being the very Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ.    You can read about his Ministry at http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html   We are actively involved in going and supporting Pastor 7 and the great work he is doing to Serve the Lost, the Last & the Least.

Atlanta CPA Presents Word for the Day: Becoming Whole Romans 7:13-25…Taking Christianity Into the World

When a friend fell of her bike and suffered  a severe brain injury, doctors weren’t sure she would survive. For several days she reminded suspended between life and death. The first good news came when she opened her eyes. Then she responded to simple voice commands. But with very small improvement, anxiety remained. how far would she progress? After one difficult day of therapy, her husband was discouraged. But the very next morning he exclaimed:” Sandy’s back ! ” Physically, Mentally, and emotionally, Sandy was becoming the “self” we knew and loved.

Sandy’s fall reminds me of “the fall” of mankind (Gen. 3) And her struggle to recover parallels our struggle to overcome the brokenness of sin. ( Rom 7:18) If only her body healed, recovery would be incomplete. The same would be true if the brain worked but her body didn’t.

Wholeness means that all parts works together for one purpose. God is the one healing Sandy, but she has to work hard in therapy. The same is true of us spiritually. After God saves us through Christ, we must “work out” our salvation (Phil.2:12)- not to earn it but to bring our thoughts and actions into agreement with His purpose- Julie Ackerman Links

More like the Master I would ever be,

                 More of his meekness, more humility;

More zeal to labor, more courage to be true,

More consecration for work He bids me do. -Gabriel  ( to become whole, keep yielding to the Holy Spirit. )

With much love, I would greatly like to appreciate all the volunteers that keep this ministry running.  We will be having a LOVE Concert Feb 14th. It won’t be to raise $money$ but to show our love and appreciation for keeping this ministry alive. So always remember we thank you for all your support, prayer, and love.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. -Phil 2:12

Duluth GA CPA Presents Pastor 7’s heart…Taking Christianity Into the World

Duluth GA CPA Pastor 7’s heart…Taking Christianity Into the World

Word for the week:   Can you spare a dime??   ((2 Corinthians 9:6-15)) In her insightful book The Forgotten Man, Amity Shlaes provides fascinating stories about what life was like during the Great depression in the US. At the center of the economic drama was “the forgotten man”, a term used for the countless individuals who were thrown out of work. A popular Depression -era song poignantly expresses their story: They used to tell me I was building a dream with peace and glory ahead. Why should I be standing in line, just waiting for bread? Once I built a railroad, I made it run, made it race against time. Once I built a railroad…. Brother can you spare a dime? An economic down turn changes everything for hard working people who lose their jobs. When that happens we as Christians should do what we can for people in need. In Galatians 2, Paul and Barnabas were reminded to evangelize and to “remember the poor” (v.10). Paul did just that- preaching the gospel and encouraging financial aid to those in need (Acts 11:29-30; 1 Cor. 16:1-3). During tough economic times, we to should help people in need- spiritually and physically.

~ He who has mercy on the poor, happy is her. -Proverbs 14:21

Final comments::The Christmas concert was outstanding!! There is so much going on in the ministry of 7Bridges. On Christmas day we took over 100 people under the bridges in the city of Atlanta. Last night we took all the ladies, children, and men to a Christmas dinner at Maggianos.

We all enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal, music and lots of dancing!! You ought to have seen the ladies and tasted all the flavorful food. Such a great time. Words can’t describe the thank you I would like to give everyone for their help. The hand of God is totally moving in the ministry and to see everyone being used by God is amazing!  So I am processing right now on how to show my appreciation for the love, work, support, and prayers that’s been taking place in our lives. Last year, we did a love concert to raise money for the ministry. I’m thinking Feb 14th Love Concert wont be to raise money  but to show our love to all of you for what you have done in Gods ministry. The word of God is true in Phil 4:19 He supplies all our needs.

I am so thankful and so blessed by God to witness what he accomplishing in all our lives. So thank you and I love you, until next week.

GO JESUS GO JESUS GO!

Duluth CPA Seeking Mission Partners Throughout America…Taking Christianity Into the World…Navajo Family Missions

I am writing to seek Mission Partners Throughout America to serve the Lost the Last and the Least. Below are two areas of missions where my family and I feel led to serve and I would welcome taking to your group about our Annual Family Mission Trip to serve the Navajo people in Pueblo Pintado. Though our group is multifaceted we predominantly focus our energy and efforts on the youth. I would welcome coming in and talking to your group as we are also looking for other churches and groups to partner with. We are looking for contributions for those who cannot attend to support our mission efforts.

To gain a bit of our work there I invite you to watch our video. I entreat you to pray before you watch, that you watch with a open heart, and then that you listen to the Lion of Judah, Our God, speaking to your heart. Perhaps your family, your church, your Bible study group might join our Family Missions Work to the Navajo as we call down the power of Almighty God as we Worship, Grow and Serve Jesus Christ. See God at work at http://bit.ly/QS0V9 If you listen and watch with an open heart, it will change your world.

To gain a glimpse of our vision visit or if your church wants to get involved with our work visit http://www.hiscpa.com/blog/2009/07/30/casting-a-vision-navajo-family-missions-taking-christianity-into-the-world/

Duluth CPA Asks…What is Your Mission Statement…Taking Christianity Into the World

Recently I was asked what our Mission Statement was. I knew what it was but it was advantageous for me to reduce to simple terms. Might I suggest as you begin the New Year that you crystallize your visions and thoughts to Served God in 2010.

To share the Good News of Jesus Christ by example and deed with the ultimate goal of building disciples for both those we serve and those we serve with.

Duluth GA CPA on Feeding the Homeless of Atlanta on Christmas Day…Who Are You Serving This Christmas…Taking Christianity Into the World Who Are You Serving

WWJD do if He Lived in Atlanta This Christmas ?  I believe he would do as He did every day…Serve the Lost the Last and the Least. Rather than letting Christmas become more about the gifts and the food, we invite you to join us in Serving and Glorifying our Savior.

Join us December 25th at noon on Christmas Day for a special, intimate Christmas service/get together at the Garden, take a tour of the facilities there and then head out into the streets. At the Garden we will both celebrate the birth of our Savior and catch a vision of what Pastor 7 is doing at the shelter and how we might partner with him during the year.

If you would like to join us, we are asking that each family make up 5 lunches for the streets (sack lunches to include PB& J sandwich, chips, water, fruit, sweet snack).  You can also bring any donations you have at that time. Please reply and let me know if you are interested in joining us.

If you would like to join us please send your e-mail address, full name, how many will be in your group, and contact/phone information to tamfram2002 AT yahoo.com

Pastor 7 has recently been donated several thousand dollars of lumber and supplies to build out the dorms/sleeping area for the ladies. Soon we will be announcing dates that people might be able to help with the construction efforts. Also, they are in need of  more construction supplies. If you feel led and would like to donate a Lowe’s or Home Depot gift card to the ministry it will help the lives of many. The ministry is in year round need of clothing, blankets, canned goods, sleeping bags and people who desire to partner with Pastor 7 to care for those who need it the most.

Thank you for caring and please pray for Pastor 7, his men and the ministry. To learn about his ministry visit http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html  Below is a sample of his weekly e-mail to the world along with their needs. Pray to see what God might have you do to serve Him in your community. God Bless You Each and Every One.

Gwinnett CPA Offers Opportunity to Provide Gifts and Serve the Homeless of Atlanta This Christmas…Taking Christianity Into the Word

Christmas day, after all of your family’s gifts have been unwrapped, the hot cocoa mugs put in the dishwasher, the Christmas brunch eaten and enjoyed, we are heading down to serve the homeless once again.  We are going to meet at The Garden at noon on Christmas Day for a special, intimate Christmas service/get together, take a tour of the facilities there (because so many had to leave before they made it to The Garden) and then head out into the streets. At the Garden we will both celebrate the birth of our Savior and catch a vision of what Pastor 7 is doing at the shelter and how we might partner with him during the year.

We are going to keep it simple unless people feel a real calling to do more – (serving/providing lunch to the shelter).  If you would like to join us, we are asking that each family make up 5 lunches for the streets (sack lunches to include PB& J sandwich, chips, water, fruit, sweet snack).  You can also bring any donations you have at that time. Duluth GA CPA on Our Family & How We Are…Taking Christianity Into the World

I was able to enjoy the ambiance of a weekend in Athens, Georgia while my niece and her husband exchanged their wedding vows. Like all families we have had our struggles and challenges along the way, but rather than pull apart, we met from the oldest to the youngest and discussed openly the fears, the pains and the anxiety that we all faced in dealing with perhaps challenge one can face. We dealt with it in love, in honesty and most importantly spoke the truth in love. Though as parents we often struggle, we have children who excel at the mark, surpassing others when life’s challenges get in their way and continue to seek excellence in all levels of their life. During the weekend there was much work to do and our kids did what they always do, excelled. Seek truth in all that you do and God will take care of the rest. Below is a note from my Brother Gary, to whom I love and adore.

1 Timothy 6:18 [Charge them] to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal and generous of heart, ready to share [with others].

I came across this passage when looking for references to family relationships and I think it does well for what I want to say to all of you about this beautiful past weekend. I am so humbled by the generosity of your families this weekend. Thank you will never be enough to fulfill how we feel.  I am so blessed to have a Georgia family who gives so freely and makes us feel so loved.  I never realized what was all involved in last minute preparation to enable our children to have such a beautiful and fun loving ending to their wedding.  GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

You all worked so hard before and after the wedding and I felt so guilty in not knowing just how much work needed to be done, but you were there to make it all happen.  It was so beautiful and second only to the spirit that made it happen.  It is rare especially in these times to see our children so willingly give their hearts to a cause of this nature but I am not surprised, just thankful. We love each of you very much and look forward to the day we can return this special favor.

I know that they will have a much better chance of having a successful marriage because of their faith in our Heavenly Father and undying support of the Dillard’s.  I look forward to soon being able to thank each of you personally, but until then please live in the Grace of God for the works you do!

Very humbly yours, Your Brother

Atlanta CPA Offers Serving Others…Taking Christianity Into the World

“...Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28

I believe that spiritual maturity comes when we emulate Christ in all things and at all times and not just on Sunday. Though Sunday is especially important when we are growing in our spiritual faith and walk. I believe Jesus spent most of his time in the world telling others of who He was and what he was here for. I believe we serve when we lay down our interests and look to the needs of others without hesitation and without reservation. Serving comes in many ways including:

-Serving in the Mission Field.

-Being aware that the Mission Field is our work, home, school, friends and at play.

-Being a Servant/Leader to my Spouse.

-Considering Others Better than Myself.

-When I Know More Than Others Not Being Right…But Being Like Jesus.

-Taking Jesus Along with All Parts of My Life.

-Offering Grace: God’s Unmerited Favor, Regardless of the Truth or Circumstance.
