Atlanta CPA Presents: Pastor 7 and Witnessing/Serving the Homeless of Atlanta

Our Back-to-School concert and day of events went great and we are so thankful for each person that helped make that happen! We pray you were as blessed through the fellowship and worship as we were. We have been asking for 80 plastic containers to slide under the beds and they were provided last week! It is so great to watch God provide for each one of our needs every day! He is our Portion and gives us exactly what we need when we need it! All praise and honor go to Him! In the past couple of weeks, we have seen families and women be blessed with their own places and be able to move on from the Garden. We rejoice with them as God takes them into their next season of life and pray that the seeds that were planted here will continue to grow as they now go out and make disciples of those God brings into their paths!  Join us in praying that they will find Bible-teaching churches and will continue to stand on the Word of God no matter where the Lord takes them!

The Lord has blessed me with two servants of the Lord who both serve here full-time and are missionaries to the ministry. Please prayerfully consider sponsoring them financially each month as they seek to serve the Lord with their whole hearts.  Tax-deductible donations can be made to 7 Bridges to Recovery with their names on the memo line. They have both been a blessing to this ministry and I would love to see them blessed in return.

7 Bridges to Recovery…Taking Christianity Into the World

We pray you had a fantastic week and were able to see God in ways you never have before! Thanks for taking the time to read our email and thank you again for the continued prayer and support.  Our children here at the Garden started back to school and we were able to supply them with all of their school supplies! Thank you to those of you that made that possible.  We are having a back-to-school celebration for everyone on Saturday August 14th.  The softball game will start at 3pm on the field next to the Garden. The concert, featuring the Garden Praise Team and other special guests, will be begin at 7pm and we invite all of you to come and celebrate with us! Put it on your calendars now and we hope to see you there on Saturday! 

God is doing much in the ministry. I wish we had to time to give individual reports of lives that are being changed. We encourage you to come on out and see what God is up to. Join us under the bridges every Saturday or stop by the Garden any day for a glimpse of the Mighty Ways God is moving!  We hope to see some of you we have not seen in a few months with the busyness of summer winding down. Top 25!

Bugs4Christ entered 4 cars in the Aggregates / Relay For Life Car Show this weekend.  We had an incredible time and our 1972 VW Karman Ghia placed in the “Top 25″ and we received a plaque.  When they called out  #12 as a winner, I was totally shocked and dumbfounded.  I could only thank God for working out a miracle.  With only $3,200 invested including the cost of the car, it was chosen over cars that probably had that much invested in the paint job.   

In the same way I am shocked and dumbfounded that my God chose me and adopted me as his child.  Jesus went to the cross to provide a way for me to spend eternity in heaven!  No, I did not deserve it but I will humbly accept the place He has prepared for me in heaven. 

You too can be chosen by God to be His child!  Romans 10:13 says: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”      

Now that’s good news!!

John Albrycht, a youth pastor  involved his youth group in the secret restoration of a 1971 VW Beetle. The project was dubbed “Bugs4Christ” and the Beetle soon became an object lesson in how God wants to restore our hearts to a right relationship with him. John wanted his youth to understand the mandate of Hebrews 10:23-25: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope that we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching!” He wanted his youth to feel the power of encouraging others by restoring and giving the gift of unconditional love to the owner of the vintage car. Since that first incredible project, the members of this ministry have been involved in several other restoration projects including on the Mission Field in the desert of New Mexico as we loved and mentored our Native Americans, the Navajo. Our Purpose: Mentor young men and women in their walk with Christ, while teaching them how to restore Volkswagen Beetles. We also model for them Christ’s unconditional love by giving these vehicles to those in need. On the Navajo Indian Reservation in Pueblo Pintado, NM we rebuilt a Volkswagen Beetle “VW” as the talk about the reforming, restoring and redeeming power of Christ. If you would like to be a part of our mission to serve the Lost, the Last and the Least I invite you to consider how you might partner with us by donating a part to the VW that will be used next year or that you family may want to go. For just as God calls us all to serve, we believe that Family Mission Trips are a way to bring all of those you most love closer to God.

Feeding the Homeless of Atlanta…Taking Christianity Into the World 

Please know that we were personally moved and convicted by the Good News and message of Jesus Christ and wanted to share it with you in hopes that God would move your heart as well. It is never our intentions to try and manipulate or guilt you into giving. As we mentioned last week, we just desire to give you an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing here. Thank you for your continued interest in this ministry and we praise God for each one of you that receives and reads this update and stands with us in being the hands and feet of Christ.  

Needs List:

• 80 plastic containers to slide under beds for personal an hygiene items
• Undergarments for children, women, and men of all sizes
• Summer clothes and flip flops for men, women, and children of all sizes
• Items for kitchen: aluminum foil, saran wrap, salad dressings, milk and dairy products, an electric knife for carving, oven mitts, spices, cooking oil, and gloves
• Cleaning products and hygiene items (esp. room sprays, dish soap, etc.)
• Lunch meat to take out under the bridges and meat for dinner at Garden
• Monetary gifts and gas cards

Final Words:

The tables we mentioned needing last week were provided and brought in today! We now have room in our fellowship hall for everyone to sit comfortably! Praise God! We were blessed with donations and service from many of you and will also have the privilege of taking everyone here at the ministry to watch the Atlanta Dream play on Tuesday. We are having a Back to School event on Saturday August 14th and ask all that can to come celebrate with us.  We will be having a softball game at 3pm and then a concert at 7pm.  We would love to have you come fellowship and celebrate with us!  Remember also, to join us in a day of prayer for our youth on Sunday August 8th.  If you are interested in serving with us, come join us on Saturdays, rain or shine, to bring food and the love of Jesus to the people on the streets of Atlanta or come to the Garden any day of the week to serve our beautiful women and children. Atlanta CPA on Magnifying Christ

Taking Christianity into the World 

We pray this email finds you well and you and that Christ is magnified in your body whether by life or by death. We have had a beautiful week and have much to praise Him for! We brought home our bus from Mississippi and should have it insured and ready to go in the next day or so. Last week, we mentioned we needed a fuel-efficient vehicle for travel and evangelism and God has blessed us with one! Again, He knows our needs and provides far beyond anything we could ever ask or imagine! All praise goes to Him! We had a sister church, Trinity Chapel, come and bless us with painting and the furnishing of Wanda’s apartment. We had multiple churches and groups come out to serve with us as we reach out to the least and the lost. We have brought in more people from off the streets and have a full house here at the Garden! God is faithful. God is moving. God is extravagant!

 Our brother, Gary Graham, with Young-N-Christ ministries, is having a prayer initiative on August 8th and desires 1000 churches to partner with him to pray for the youth of America. We ask for you to join us and him on August 8th and pray for our youth. Here at 7 Bridges, we have youth coming to serve us constantly, and we desire each one of their hearts to be transformed into the image of Christ.  They are our future and we want to see a future generation that magnifies Christ in life and in death!

Atlanta CPA on Serving the Homeless of Atlanta: Colossians 1:9-12 

We have had another beautiful week here at 7 Bridges.  We have rescued bodies from the streets as Christ has rescued their souls from the dominion of darkness.  We had a beautiful time of fellowship with our brothers and sisters at Mt. Bethel United Methodist on Sunday.(If you wish to view the service, you can download the podcast from www.mtbethel.org)  We have been blessed with volunteers and servants for Christ and have another week ahead of us packed full of opportunities to minister to the least and lost of Atlanta. We covet your prayers greatly.  Pray Colossians 1:9-12 for us; that God will fill us with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding in order that we may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that we will have great endurance and patience and joyfully give thanks to the Father.

Christian CPA: Seeking Obedience in Our Christian Walk…Taking Christianity Into the World 

Serving the Homeless of Atlanta 

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” ~ Ephesians 3:20.    He always does way more than we could ever ask or imagine! We are so grateful for not only the way He provides, but also the way He continues to blow our minds daily! Never put limits on God. Know that He can and He will stand on His Word in Ephesians 3:20. This week for us has been no exception. As you know we have been in need of a bus for some time now and we are pleased to say that God has provided a beautiful bus for us through the obedience and generosity of our brothers and sisters at Pearl Baptist in Mississippi.  Praise God! He is faithful and supplies all of our needs!  

In the month of June, we had students and servants here from all over the U.S. and were not able to provide thousands of lunches to those on the streets of Atlanta, but were also able to minister to the souls of hundreds. Thank you for your prayers but please keep them coming! This week we will have a group coming all the way from Amarillo, Texas to serve with us and we pray that their hearts will be captured by our King as they minister to the least, last, and lost.   

As a reminder, the Garden will be closed on July 18th for service as we are all heading over to Mt. Bethel United Methodist to worship with them. Please feel free to worship with us that day at the 11am service!  

We pray you had a blessed Independence Day, as we not only celebrated the freedom we have in this country, but also the freedom we have through Christ! He is worthy of all our praise and as we include Him in ALL of our plans as Oswald Chambers taught us earlier, may we see Him do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine! There is an opportunity for someone to facilitate a bible study at the North Gwinnett Co-Op on either Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Since their expansion last year we have been able to provide students with tutoring on Monday night which has been well attended and very much appreciated.   It would be wonderful to be able to use other available space at the co-op to reach out to our adult clients through a bible study especially in these hard hit times.

We would like to thank our dear friends Mike and Charlene for the donation of our new 16 passenger van! We know it is the provision of the Lord and not them personally but we are grateful for their obedience to hearing God’s voice. The van made its debut on the streets this Saturday and is already a huge blessing to us!  As a reminder, we will be appearing in Channel 57 this coming Monday, June 21st, on Atlanta Live between 7 and 9 pm! Our very own praise team  will be playing but keep us in your prayers that we will worship an audience of One and not put on a show for anyone else. This truly is an honor and we pray God will be pleased with the worship. With summer in full motion, we have lots going on and many opportunities to bring God glory through our service. We appreciate your prayers and support of all that God is doing here. We acknowledge our dependency on Him and know your prayers are powerful! Pastor 7 with 7 Bridges to Recovery is doing great things to Feed the Homeless of Atlanta while spreading the word of God. I suggest you go down and see what he is doing on the weekends to take the message to the streets of Atlanta.
