Atlanta CPA Is Your Ignition Switch Key Tuned Onto God?

What Are You Doing to Draw Others Closer to God…Taking Christianity Into the World

We have purchased 4 VW’s recently that did not have a key for the ignition switch. Without a key you can’t even move the car because the ignition switch locks the steering column. We have a keychain in our shop that has about 15 VW keys on it. We tried all of those keys in each lock and none of them fit! Our only option was to take out a hammer and chisel and take the switch apart one chunk at a time. Not a whole lot of fun! The truth is that the creator of these VW’s created only one key to fit the ignition switch.

Curtis and I learned a spiritual truth from this object lesson the other night. We also realized that our creator, God, created only one key for us to get access to Heaven. This key has a name and it is Jesus! The Bible puts it this way:

Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

John Albrycht, a youth pastor involved his youth group in the secret restoration of a 1971 VW Beetle. The project was dubbed “Bugs4Christ” and the Beetle soon became an object lesson in how God wants to restore our hearts to a right relationship with him. John wanted his youth to understand the mandate of Hebrews 10:23-25: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope that we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching!” He wanted his youth to feel the power of encouraging others by restoring and giving the gift of unconditional love to the owner of the vintage car. Since that first incredible project, the members of this ministry have been involved in several other restoration projects including on the Mission Field in the desert of New Mexico as we loved and mentored our Native Americans, the Navajo. Our Purpose: Mentor young men and women in their walk with Christ, while teaching them how to restore Volkswagen Beetles. We also model for them Christ’s unconditional love by giving these vehicles to those in need. On the Navajo Indian Reservation in Pueblo Pintado, NM we rebuilt a Volkswagen Beetle “VW” as the talk about the reforming, restoring and redeeming power of Christ. Navajo Family Missions: May God Bless Each and Every One of You,

You each poured out your hearts, souls and bodies to serve our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, the Navajo. On behalf of the Kingdom of God, we thank and praise you for your efforts and your zeal. Whether you served in VBS, Sports, Construction, Service, Leadership, Bugs4Christ, Women’s Bible Study, Kitchen or at the Senior Center you served with compassion and zeal that will never be forgotten by God, by the Navajo, or by us.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

We are all called by Christ to serve foremost with love. Your openness and willingness to step out of “your box” is what makes this family mission trip special.

Though there were 86 of us with many varied personalities, we all served with One Voice and with a message of Peace & Love.

Throughout it all we overcame obstacles, grew together as a church family and represented well the body of Christ spoken about in the New Testament. Though we are all gifted with different talents, we all pulled together to do something miraculous in the desert of New Mexico.

Though it will be impossible to list all of the God moments on this trip, I would be remiss if I did not list a few:

-The meetings of hard work and preparation as we readied our hearts and souls for the journey.

-Our Point Teams arriving early and their hard work to get ready so that we all might be ready when we arrived.

-Eddie for pulling the trailer and all of our needed supplies and the Bugs4Christ for pulling a VW for our restoration services, as we were all conformed to the very image of Christ.

-The large turnout we enjoyed in our Sunday cookout in Downtown Pueblo Pintado.

-The coming together of our teams whose joint service made a difference in the lives of many.

-Our music team which lead us closer to God through both their leadership and joint service.

-The Navajo joining us in working on our Construction efforts.

-The exploring of locals there in Pueblo Pintado to continue in leading Bible study groups there and to witness, share and love on the Navajo people.

-Our flexibility as a team to fulfill our destiny rather than to focus on a plan.

-Our Tuesday night as we tied the knots on the prayer squares that were made into a rug.

-The many lives that were changed forever by the visit to the Three Sisters and their quiet dignity.

-The nailing of our sins, past regrets and items that were holding us back in our lives so that we might leave them at the foot of the cross.

-The sunrise service we had on Sunday a.m. as we listened as Warren played the bagpipes and Amazing Grace.

-The many tears that were shared, the many fears that were conquered and the incredible amounts of joy that were shared.

-I will never forget watching as the Bugs4Christ team rebuilt the VW all the while, offering object lessons of how we are all restored to the likeness of Christ through hard work, effort, repentance and love.

-The joy of Community Night as we played bingo, games and we presented the VW to a surprised Ben.

-The night on the Mesa, starting with the beautiful sound of bagpipes, our words of worship, the literal and symbolic burning of our past transgressions and sins and the communion with God by our sharing of the Lord’s Supper.

-The Ceremony to Acknowledge Melarie as our God-Daughter.

-The placing on a cross as a minder to both the Navajo and to us, that we should never forget who we are in Him and who we are to each other.

-Friday night Sharing at the Pool.

-Arnold Billie’s many encouraging words.

I invite you to live the whole of our life in attempting something so great for the kingdom of God, that it is doomed to failure, lest Christ be in it.

We are not on this road of life alone. We are on it together. I will never forget the great things that were done. We must all never forget. Our lives will be forever intertwined with the hearts of the Navajo and we commit to seeing that we all take Christ with us wherever we go.

When Believers united as you did, the walls of fear and uncertainty came tumbling down as love reigns supreme. As you return to our work days and back home, we must all remember what you did on this trip as the very hands and feet of Jesus Christ.

As my wife spoke on Friday night, we must all keep the fires of passion for our Savior burning…to keep the spark alive and to fan the love that burns within us all. Lean not on your own understanding but seek God, His Word and His Will in all that you do. In so doing you will Glorify our Most High God and add to this great thing you have already done. Live as the song encourages…”Jesus Take the Wheel” so that God can lead you to yet higher heights.

I invite you if there is any pain or sin, hiding out in your life, that you lay it at the foot of the cross and that you recall that if Christ is to increase, that we must decrease.

Though Tami and I have been allowed to serve as leaders on this trip, we see ourselves more as caretakers of the great gift of your lives, glory and mission of this past week. Our goal continues to be the same. To Glorify God and to Help You Fulfill Your God Given Destiny.

I invite you to take what you have seen and heard this past week and make it yours and that your lives be one that is “mission filled.”

We will never forget the great things you have done and that we are here to walk alongside you 24/7 in this journey called life.

Seek God in all that you do and look to lead your family to be ever more like Christ Jesus.

It is easy to serve alongside Pueblo Pintado Warriors such as you and We Thank You For Your Great Service.

Just as an Avalanche Starts with a Snowflake so does a vision materialize through your efforts to miracles in our Father’s name.

Earlier in the week, I sent a note to call saying It’s Go Time….Now it is time to GO!!!

You have answered the call God laid on your heart to serve Him and His people the Navajo. I have personally witnessed time and again that when we Serve the Lost The Last and the Least that God will use and bless us most.

Luke 11:33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.”

You and your family is doing a great thing for the Kingdom. Do not worry about the words to say or how you will be perceived for He has already laid out the plans for you and your week.

Our Point Team on the Reservation has already been there for a couple of days and readying the way for us to do God’s bidding. There hard work on the front end will allow us to spend more time serving and worshiping than would otherwise be possible. Be sure to let them all know when you arrive of your appreciation of this great thing they have done.

Expect Great Things!

We are still heavily involved in Missions while Serving our Native Americans the Navajo on the desert of New Mexico. To Our Repeat Mission Members…My Wife is More Precious than Rubies

My wife is the only one on our mission trip who does not have an encouragement partner and she does so very much to help us all on the trip itself and our spiritual walk. I ask that you might consider on just one day on the trip to stop and write her a note to encourage her in her efforts.

Proverbs 3:14-16 (A Wife) For she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Your walk alongside her over these last few years is invaluable and to her and in our quietest moments your names are whispered and lifted up to our God on high. I believe this year’s trip will exceed all that we have ever seen and will be a highpoint that we all can look to for many years to come as a watershed moment in our lives.

We are both honored by your continued presence on this trip and most of all, we covet your love and your prayers. As you all know the work for this trip is hard, but the rewards are eternal and at the end of the day there is no one I would rather serve with.

It’s “Go Time.” Heading Out Into the Mission Field

Taking Christianity Into the World

“So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding.” Hebrews 6:1

It’s “Go Time.” God does not call the equipped into the Mission Field but rather equips those who are called. We alone are uniquely poised to do His will and bidding this upcoming week.

You each have been destined before time began to be on this Mission Trip at this Point of Time. There are no coincidences, no such things as happenstance, only your God given destiny to fulfill.

God has a calling to you on your heart. I pray that this Mission Trip to serve the Navajo in the desert of New Mexico will be an awakening in you that will never be quenched.

You each have been prayed over and I continue to seek God’s abundance grace and blessings on you and your families.

God will join us there as we seek to be His hands and feet.

WWJD: Jesus would serve, just as you are doing.

God is proud and we are honored to walk alongside you during this trip and for the rest of time.

Camp Revolution is in full swing as we have students from all over flooding the ministry with their presence! God is already at work and their hearts are being transformed! Please continue to lift each one of them up in prayer as they serve on the mission fields of Atlanta!

We had a beautiful week last week and were blessed with food donations and many volunteers in the ministry. We celebrated Pastor 7’s birthday on Wednesday, June 23^rd, and praised God for not only his years on this earth but also for the years he has been born again!

Please continue to pray for us here at 7 Bridges as we seek to do the will of our Perfect Father. We fall short daily but ask for your prayers to give us the strength to keep running. Pray that our eyes will be focused on the Prize, which is Christ Jesus! Thank you for standing with us in this pursuit of God. Until next week.
