 7 Bridges to Recovery

Feeding the Homeless of Atlanta…Taking Christianity Into the World

Please know that we were personally moved and convicted by the Good News and message of Jesus Christ and wanted to share it with you in hopes that God would move your heart as well. It is never our intentions to try and manipulate or guilt you into giving. As we mentioned last week, we just desire to give you an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing here. Thank you for your continued interest in this ministry and we praise God for each one of you that receives and reads this update and stands with us in being the hands and feet of Christ.

Needs List:

  • 80 plastic containers to slide under beds for personal an hygiene items
  • Undergarments for children, women, and men of all sizes
  • Summer clothes and flip flops for men, women, and children of all sizes
  • Items for kitchen: aluminum foil, saran wrap, salad dressings, milk and dairy products, an electric knife for carving, oven mitts, spices, cooking oil, and gloves
  • Cleaning products and hygiene items (esp. room sprays, dish soap, etc.)

Final Words:

The tables we mentioned needing last week were provided and brought in today! We now have room in our fellowship hall for everyone to sit comfortably! Praise God! We were blessed with donations and service from many of you and will also have the privilege of taking everyone here at the ministry to watch the Atlanta Dream play on Tuesday. We are having a Back to School event on Saturday August 14th and ask all that can to come celebrate with us.  We will be having a softball game at 3pm and then a concert at 7pm.  We would love to have you come fellowship and celebrate with us!  Remember also, to join us in a day of prayer for our youth on Sunday August 8th.  If you are interested in serving with us, come join us on Saturdays, rain or shine, to bring food and the love of Jesus to the people on the streets of Atlanta or come to the Garden any day of the week to serve our beautiful women and children. We pray you have a blessed week and look forward to serving with you! Remember you are blessed and highly favored!

GO JESUS GO JESUS GO!  LOVE, Pastor 7

Pastor 7 with 7Bridges to Recovery is doing great things to Feed the Homeless of Atlanta while spreading the word of God. I suggest you go down and see what he is doing on the weekends to take the message to the streets of Atlanta. I believe he would be a great speaker to the whole congregation and Discipleship Groups as people are looking for opportunities to get real with their faith by being the very Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ. You can read about his Ministry at http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html  We are actively involved in going and supporting Pastor 7 and the great work he is doing to Serve the Lost, the Last & the Least.

John 14:6  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Lawrenceville/Duluth GA Christian CPA Reminds Believers that God Came to Save…Taking Christianity Into the World

Lawrenceville/Duluth GA Christian CPA Reminds Believers that God Came to Save…Taking Christianity Into the World

The mission of Jesus Christ is save us. He pursues every needy person, no matter how undeserving. The Apostle Paul points out that none of us “deserve” God’s mercy and none of us can save ourselves.  Like a lost sheep, all we can do is call for help.

“There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God” (Romans 3:10-11). The good news of Christ that regardless of our many failures, God seeks after us and responds to every plea for help. You might say that God is in the mercy business!

Pastor 7’s Mission is in need of the below donations:
1. Still looking for a15 passenger van
2. A reliable vehicle to travel and evangelize
3.  Cleaning Supplies
4. # 10 can food items and lunch meat
5. Sheets and comforters
6. Underwear all sizes and Summer clothes for women, men, and children
7. We can always use food cards and gas cards  AMEN!!
8. Monetary gifts are still always a necessity

A few final remarks:
God is doing mighty things in and through this ministry. Habakkuk 1: 5 sums it up well saying, “Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, even if you were told!” I wish I had the time to update you on ALL the things God is doing. Like I mentioned last time, come and see for yourselves! We would love to serve alongside of you as there are always growing needs that need to be met and we need all the help we can get! Thank you for your prayers and support! We love you!

GO JESUS GO JESUS GO! LOVE, Pastor 7

Atlanta CPA Offers Thanksgiving for Warriors for the Kingdom of  God…Taking Christianity Into the World

Serving the Lost the Last and the Least

It was an honor to serve alongside you this Thanksgiving. God is deeply touched and honored by your efforts. Continue in your efforts to excel in all that you do and to look to the needs of others. Reading God’s word and applying it to your life and Christian Service, is how God will best pour out his power and majesty in your lives.

I watched every one of you intently on this day as you poured out God’s love and put down your busy daily lives and did What Jesus Would Do on this great day. You have answered this call and sought out His will for you, your family and your lives. I encourage you to draw a line in the sand and use this Thanksgiving as a defining moment in your lives to seek to Serve Him in All That You Do. If you accept this heavenly ordained will for your life, God will meet you where you are, guiding your steps.

In the Old Testament, Nehemiah was burdened by prayer and tears for the walls of Jerusalem, which lay in ruins. In Nehemiah’s Obedience, he sought out by prayer, God’s blessings and favor for his work. Nehemiah personally went to inspect the city walls to see what might be done to protect God’s chosen people. This Thanksgiving you have inspected the walls of the Homeless of Atlanta and found what I have also seen. A people who need love, a hand up and most of all God’s love from God’s people.

Seek always to Live in Obedience to His word and He will honor your efforts regardless of life’s circumstances, illness, job loss, family, work and school issues. We believe that God uses the oldest to the youngest in perfect unity to His will. He God uses us all, especially our weakness and our failings to serve, uplift and mentor to the needs of others. For it is in our weakness that we are strong. It is when we decrease and put aside things of the world, that God can use us to do great things in God’s name.

I invite you to join us on a great journey to work alongside Pastor 7 and the 7 Bridges to Recovery to Serve the Lost the Last and the Least of Atlanta. God wants you to live expectantly and to expect to be able to do Great Things in God’s Name, always seeking and expecting the Power and Majesty of Christ. If you live Humbly Seeking to Serve, Rather than Being Served, You will Be the Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ bringing miracles into your life and the lives of others.

God has a Great Plan for You and Your Life. Join us as We Do This Great Thing God has laid on our Hearts.

In the Matchless Name of Our Lord and Savior,
John & Tami Dillard

Gwinnett CPA Seeking  Place of Business, Store or Office Adopting an Atlanta Homeless Shelter for Both Thanksgiving and Year Round

Feeding the Homeless of Atlanta

The Ministry is called 7 Bridges to Recovery and is located at 2875 Brownsmill Rd SE Atlanta, GA 30354. The purpose of the ministry is “The purpose of the ministry is to rescue our brothers and sisters off the streets and help them break the binds of homelessness, alcohol, drugs, sexual addictions, prostitution, and abuse.”

” The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”

At present there are two large construction needs in process with the first being to build out the dorm area where ladies and their children can stay and sleep together. The dorm when built out will be able to support approximately thirty homeless mothers and their children. Also there is a need to have Pastor 7 on-site predominantly full-time and the build out of the apartment will allow him to do so. Pray to see what God might have you do to serve Him in your community. God Bless You Each and Every One. Please note that also the ministry has an ongoing need for those to worship with their hands and feet by offering to assist with construction projects on site.

Providing for the Homeless takes much more than a good meal on Thanksgiving. We are looking for church groups and individuals to partner with us throughout the year to Get God to The Lost, The Last and The Least. Below please find a few of their ongoing physical needs.

Pastor 7, his men and the ministry are doing great things in God’s name to serve the Homeless Men & Women of Atlanta. To learn about more his ministry visit http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html

Thanksgiving Day 2009: Feeding the Homeless in Atlanta…Taking Christianity Into the World

My wife and I were blessed to be able to serve at 7 Bridges to Recovery where we met Pastor 7 and his men!  This Thanksgiving in 2009, we will be serving the homeless men and women of Atlanta as we bring a Thanksgiving feast and God’s word to many people living under the bridges of the streets of Atlanta and some canned goods to the shelter.  We will also be collecting jackets and sleeping bags to help keep those who cannot do for themselves warm this upcoming winter.

We are collecting any items that will assist in keeping our friends under the bridges warm.  If you have blankets, sleeping bags, winters clothing, ANY ITEMS to keep the cold away, please let us know and we will either pick them up or you can bring them to us. If you want you and your family to be involved please contact John Dillard at 770 814 9304. Please note that this trip is Good for the Whole Family.

Thank you for caring and please pray for Pastor 7, his men and the ministry. To learn about his ministry visit http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html

Missions Lite.

The work may not be Lite but the time and financial commitments will. Rather than a week trip, Mission Lite will be for over weekends and will be within driving distance of Sugarloaf United Methodist Church. The added advantage of Missions Lite is in their shorter distance and time period that the costs will be much less than a week’s trip.

I believe that Missions Lite has the promise of bringing life metamorphosis and change to those who want to discover the redeeming power of Christ, who would otherwise not sign up for a week’s mission trip. I have personally watched lives change through missions and I believe Missions Lite will do much to revitalize Christians and help us all as we Take Christianity Into the World. Missions Lite is not intended to take away any of your zeal and enthusiasm for week mission trips where you are already emotionally and spiritually engaged, but for those who will not otherwise be able to go on a mission trip and to add more mission opportunities for those already committed to week-long mission trips.
