Atlanta CPA on Top 10 Characteristics of a Christian CPA Firm

If you call yourself a Christian CPA Firm, your words actions and deeds need to align with the way you run/manage your business. These Top Ten Verses/Characteristics will do much to help you ensure you are walking the walk and talking the talk. Though many will do what they can to derail your good efforts as Satan will always rise up against those who are doing good. So count it a blessing for when you are prosecuted for you are doing much good for the Kingdom of God.

Top 10 Characteristics of a Christian Firm

  1. Matthew 7:12 The “Golden Rule” are not just words to us. Our primary focus is you, being sure to tailor our firms services to your needs. God calls on us emulate Himself in all matters and to ensure that both our hearts and actions are consistently aligned in love.
  2. 2 Corinthians 8:7 Fast efficient turnaround in your work/returns. Most work is completed within 48 to 72 hours = Good Returns Fast. The Apostle Paul encourages us a Believers to “excel in everything.”
  3. Genesis 6:22 We know that by focusing on the details that the big picture becomes clearer, just as Noah did everything that God commanded and not one issue was left astray.
  4. 1 Chronicles 21:1-3 You do not have an account number at our firm. We believe our clients are much more than just customers. My goal for all of my clients is that they become lifetime friends. Satan tried to tempt King David to take a census and to gain pride from his own accomplishment rather than focusing on the Glory of God.
  5. Numbers 13 We are able to see the forest and the trees simultaneously helping to ensure that your short term decisions do not become long term problems. When a member from each tribe of Israel was sent out to scout the Promised Land, only two were able to see the truth in totality and that God’s covenant was true and that the Land of Milk & Honey would soon be theirs.
  6. John 14:1-3 We can serve as a part-time Virtual CFO providing technical guidance and wisdom to issues you did not even know you have. Just as Jesus went ahead of us to Heaven to prepare a way for us, so should we seek out others who know the truth, are wise in their counsel and are available to afford us the advantage of their insight and wisdom.
  7. Isaiah 49:8 Our tax planning and ability to  think ”outside the box” does not limit us to the status quo, while always being open to business, tax and paradigm changes. God promises to offer us favor, guidance and to lead us in the way that we should go.
  8. Isaiah 65:24 We return your calls within just a few business hours. If God promises to answer our call, while we are still speaking so should be answer others as soon as possible.
  9. Matthew 5:37 We value the truth of the Bible and look to apply His word in all phases of our business and personal life and not just on Sundays. Jesus tells us in the New Testament that we are to let your yes by yes an dour no, no and to not be ambivalent about the truth.
  10. Matthew 22:21 Don’t buy into false prophets who will lead you astray by telling you that the IRS is un-Constitutional. The Bible is clear that we all are to “Remit Unto Caesar what is his, but we are not required to give one penny more.

Luke 12:31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Duluth/Gwinnett/Atlanta CPA Reminds Atlanta Taxpayers that D-Day is Today

Duluth/Gwinnett/Atlanta CPA Reminds Atlanta Taxpayers that D-Day is Today

Today is the last day for individual taxpayers to file and pay their 2009 Personal Income Taxes. There is no “Pass Go” or “Free Pass” as taxpayers are required to “settle up” and pay what they owe and to have it post marked today.

For taxpayers who will not be filing their return today, they can use IRS Tax Form 4868 to pay any taxes owed and to legally extend the time for the filing of their personal return for six months, until 10-15-10.

For taxpayers who do not file either their return today or file an extension the IRS/GA can assess regular penalties and interest, and in addition a failure to file penalty.

For taxpayers who do not pay their taxes in full today the IRS will assess failure to pay penalties and interest, until the amounts are paid in full.

So run to the post office today before it closes to ensure that your tax obligations do not unduly grow.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Gwinnett/Alpharetta/Christian CPA’s: How to Find the Right One

Gwinnett/Alpharetta/Christian CPA’s: How to Find the Right One

With tens of thousands of CPA’s in Atlanta to choose from, it’s difficult for business owners to find the one who is best suited for their needs.  Having been a CPA for almost three decades, you soon discover that CPA’s like doctors and lawyers are not all alike and that each one has their own particular set of nuances, training, experience and specialties.  Just as finding the right doctor when you are having chest pains, it is equally as critical to your business success to find a CPA to fill in the financial gaps that many business owners lack.

Our world has become one of intense specialization as you have had to hone and perfect your craft and you will want to find a business CPA whose dedication and ambition matches that of your own.  To that end, recapped at http://hiscpa.com/Atlanta-CPA.html several issues to contemplate as you make one of the most important decisions that will impact your business success and your family’s financial future. Preparing tax returns is a “taxing” business, being sure you retain a CPA who can see “both the forest and the trees” will be essential to ensuring that you pay only your lowest legal possible tax. Below is an excerpt we might use to help a taxpayer be sure that we have all of the required information to properly process and evaluate their return:

Your advice that your LLC is a C Corporation for all tax years prior to 2010.

That you have not yet done a W-2 for the 2010 tax year and that I should prepare one and that you should retain a payroll service ASAP.

Please forward me a copy of where GA assigned you a GA Withholding number and a GA Dept. of Labor number. If not let me know and I will begin applying for ASAP.

Please forward me a copy where the IRS accepts your election to be an S Corporation effective 1-1-10.

This will confirm that your are pulling the information together to address the IRS request for documentation/proof for your some of your Schedule A Expenses for your 2008 personal return.

For the IRS you owe $3,000 and you owed the state of Georgia $1,000; please be sure to pay ASAP using the IRS Form 1040ES and GA Form 500ES forwarded.

Amount owed is predominantly due to insufficient withholding and lack of estimated payment to IRS to cover the K-1’s/Profits from your business. I suggest all of my clients tax plan at least twice annually as both the IRS/GA will add penalties and interest for late payment.

Please be reminded that an extension to file is not an extension to pay and that the IRS will add  penalties and interest for all late payments, so be sure to get your return postmarked 4-15-10.

Psalm 33:5  The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Norcross/Sandy Springs/Atlanta CPA Encourages Believers to Do Everything You Do as Doing it for the Very Glory of God…Taking Christianity Into the World

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.

I had the unique opportunity to meet with two college age men today who had begun a new venture to not only help support themselves a bit but more importantly to be both “Eco-Friendly” and to Help Make a Difference in this World by sharing part of their efforts with others who are less fortunate throughout the world. I was not only honored by their presence but the ability to help donate back to our new generation by offering Godly wisdom, wise counsel and encouragement. For it is when we give back to others that we are most like Jesus Christa and can best answer the question: WWJD – What Would Jesus Do.

For me I have learned that the best ways I can do this is to be fully emotionally present where I am at all times, seek to always look to serve others by kindness and deed and to look to the best in others. For it is often in the simple things both said and unsaid where we  are most apt to lift up someone when they need it most. Below is a sample letter I might send after meeting a new associate to send both support and encouragement. So today I ask you….are you seeking all of the chances you have in your life to be like Him?

It was great meeting you and having a chance to talk with you about your business.  That was my first chance to attend a meeting and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I met some really interesting people and hopefully made some good business contacts.  As I mentioned, I am a CPA and have over 30 years experience.  If you have or know anyone who has a need for a good, honest CPA with experience in all areas of accounting, please let me know or pass my contact information on.  I have a great website www.hiscpa.com that is full of really useful tax information that might help you and anybody you know with questions/concerns you might have regarding your taxes.  Hope to see you again soon at the next meeting.

Award Winning Results will be an asset for both your peace of mind and to help ensure you pay your lowest legal possible tax. I look forward to the opportunity to meeting and serving as your CPA for many years to come.

Atlanta CPA Tells How to Unleash the Power of Jesus Christ in Your Life…Taking Christianity Into the World

Atlanta CPA Tells How to Unleash the Power of Jesus Christ in Your Life…Taking Christianity Into the World

It is often said that the last words of a man are his most important. Those are the ones that he wants you to hear the most.

When Jesus left this world just before His ascension into Heaven, he exhorted us to go into the world and tell others the Good News of Salvation and to be a witness to others. I believe there is no greater way to call on the power of an Almighty God than during your times of service to Him. I have personally watched both within my own family and in others who are changed, as God’s power flows through their pores and out into the roads and byways of life to be redeemed and reformed creatures of God. Not changed as the world sees them, but changed as God sees them and uses them to reign down His power in their lives.

Worship, Grow, And Serve.  These are not just the motto of our church, but also the very words by which Jesus led his life. In Pueblo Pintado we seek to edify and mimic his life as He was the example we are to emulate. Though the New Testament tells us that Jesus did go to church, it was out in the world that He emulated his Father in Heaven.

In the desert of New Mexico we have nailed our sins to the cross, had foot washings and celebrated the power and majesty of Jesus with the joy of service and with most importantly our hearts.

Jesus told us that it is indeed our brothers and sisters in Christ who will become our family. On every mission trip I have attended there is a moment in time when it becomes obvious to all, that God is indeed the perfector of our faith and the reason for our journey. There on the reservation we all sweat through the efforts of our work, labored for good, and served our Glorious Savior.

There is only one who is committed to you not serving on a mission trip and he will do anything that he can to destroy you and his name is Satan. Do not let the evil one get in your way of God blessing you in ways that are beyond your wildest imagination. No matter where you are on your Spiritual Walk, whether a New Believer or Old, Missions and seeking to serve Beyond our Walls is the mark of an impassioned Believer on fire for the Kingdom of God. Many of us, if not all of us have frequently asked “What Can I Do on a Mission Trip, What Do I Have to Offer, or What Can I Say to Encourage Others?”

When Jesus looks about for those to serve, He does not call the equipped but rather He chooses to equip the Called. In this way, God can gain all of the glory for it is only when we humble and lower ourselves that God can be truly exalted. Whether your family is a family of one or of many, whether married, single, widowed or single again, God has a destiny and a plan for you and your life. In Pueblo Pintado we are committed to helping you discover what God has called YOU to be as we seek to Serve the The Lost, the Last and the Least.

Whether you see yourself as shy or bold, can sign, read, cook,  hold a hammer, talk to kids or not, Pueblo Pintado and Missions holds a unique opportunity and key to unlock the Power of God in Your Life. Though Missions Start at Home, in your workplace or in your school, God has a destiny or you and your life. Join us as we Seek to Glorify God Together.

As we close, I would like to invite all who have ever served on a Pueblo Pintado Mission Trip to stand as both a testimony to their service and so that you might capture a bit of their vision God has revealed to them and their life.

I invite you to join us as the many faces of Pueblo Pintado as we seek to Worship, Grow and Serve our Most High God. In the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, I pray….

To gain a glimpse of our vision visit or if your church wants to get involved with our work visit http://www.hiscpa.com/blog/2009/07/30/casting-a-vision-navajo-family-missions-taking-christianity-into-the-world/

If you believe a picture is worth a thousand words then perhaps this is a Million Dollar Video. I invite you to see what God is doing with Navajo Family Missions as we Take Christianity Into the World.

I entreat you to pray before you watch, that you watch with a open heart, and then that you listen to the Lion of Judah, Our God, speaking to your heart. Perhaps your family, your church, your Bible study group might join our Family Missions Work to the Navajo as we call down the power of Almighty God as we Worship, Grow and Serve Jesus Christ. See God at work at  http://bit.ly/QS0V9 If you listen and watch with an open heart, it will change your world.

Gwinnett CPA Presents 7 Bridges to Recovery…Taking Christianity Into the World

Serving the Lost, the Last & the Least

Hey everyone! Here is the word for the week. God’s Embrace Romans 12:3-11. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another -Romans 12:10. Soon after her family left for the evening, Carol started to think that her hospital room must be the loneliest place in the world. Nighttime had fallen, her fears about her illness were back, and she felt overwhelming despair as she lay there alone.

Closing her eyes, she began to talk to God: “O Lord, I know I am not really alone. You are here with me. Please calm my heart and give me peace. Let me feel Your arms around me, holding me.”

As she prayed, Carol felt her fears beginning to subside. And when she opened her eyes, she looked up to see the warm, sparkling eyes of her friend Marge, who reached out to encircle her in a big hug. Carol felt as if God Himself were holding her tightly.

God often uses fellow believers to show us His love. “We, being many, are one body in Christ….Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them” (Rom. 12:5-6) We serve others “with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 4:11).

When we show love and compassion in simple, practical ways, we are a part of God’s ministry to His people.

Teach me to love, this is my prayer

  May the compassion of Thy heart I share;

Ready a cup of water to give,

May I unselfishly for others live.

We show our love for God when we love His family.

Yours truly, Pastor 7. GO JESUS GO JESUS GO!
LOVE, Pastor7

Please note that also the ministry has an ongoing need for those to worship with their hands and feet by offering to assist with construction projects on site.

Thank you for caring and please pray for Pastor 7, his men and the ministry. To learn about his ministry visit http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html  Below is a sample of his weekly e-mail to the world along with their needs. Pray to see what God might have you do to serve Him in your community. God Bless You Each and Every One.

Gwinnett CPA on Taking Your Christian Business Into the World: WWJD

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:2

Below is a recent inquiry I received off of our web site. I share it to encourage you to take Jesus along with your to work and indeed everywhere you go.

I came across your website a couple of months ago.  As a Christian, I appreciated the things I saw.  It seems like you offer quite a lot of services for business owners.  Although I could probably use all of your services, I am not quite sure where to start or what is essential for my business right now.

When I started my business I really did not do things very well.  My accounting and tax preparation methods need desperate help and I’m sure that is only the beginning.   I am not sure if you will have any time to assist me or if I can even afford your services but I do know I cannot afford to do this on my own anymore.  Do you do consultations with potential clients?  Thanks for your time.

Gwinnett CPA Provides Real Tax Relief Saving Client Over $30,000 for Metro Atlanta Taxpayer

Several weeks  ago His CPA PC was approached by a taxpayer for those the IRS had assessed almost $40,000 and over seven years of un-filed back tax returns to file and pay. Immediately John Dillard CPA sprang into action getting all of the returns filed within a week, within and under budget and saving the taxpayer approximately $30,000. Within approximately twenty days His CPA PC got the Levy on the taxpayers wages stopped, the IRS tax assessment voided and the taxpayer back in the good graces of the IRS. Though size-wise we are not a Top 25 Atlanta CPA firm in terms of billings, we strive to be a Top 25 Atlanta CPA Firm in terms of responsiveness, results and with great regard for our clients needs and wishes, while never forgetting to whom we serve. Below is an excerpt from our recently most satisfied client:

I did receive the release of Levy in the mail today and I am faxing over a copy to our Payroll Department. She stated she be able to reflect the release immediately, so it looks like all is clear for now. I am OK with the small penalty remaining, all in all, it has all worked out much better than I expected. Thank you for taking my case and for what I consider to be a very successful outcome. What an enormous relief to have all of this behind me and not looming over my head year after year. I am so thankful to God for finding your website and not getting tangled up with all the other “solutions to my tax problems” that were coming my way. It made a really complicated matter simple and it was so wonderful to do business and with someone with integrity in a Christ centered business. Thank you again!
