Finding Total Freedom in Christ

Praising the Greatness of Our King

We pray that each of you are truly denying yourselves and carrying your cross this week. We pray that you are rejoicing in the freedom you have in Christ but not taking advantage of it.  We pray that you are growing in His grace and love and being renewed in knowledge in the image of your Creator! We serve a Mighty God! Stop and think for a minute that the God who created the entire universe and uses the earth as His footstool, loves you enough to be intimately involved in your life and orchestrates every detail! Incredible! This week at 7 Bridges we are rejoicing in the Greatness of our King and praise Him for all He has done! We have a full house here at the Garden and are seeing lives being transformed daily. Please continue to pray for us and each person that comes through this ministry. Thank you for your prayers and for those of you that are sowing into this ministry, either with your time and service  or your donations. You are needed and we cannot do it without you. Have a blessed week and remember that you are highly favored by the Lord!   ** FYI- We are planning on having another concert on October 30th at 7pm so mark your calendars now so you can plan to come!

GO JESUS GO JESUS GO!  LOVE,  PASTOR 7

Pastor 7 with 7 Bridges to Recovery is doing great things to Feed the Homeless of Atlanta while spreading the word of God. I suggest you go down and see what he is doing on the weekends to take the message to the streets of Atlanta. I believe he would be a great speaker to the whole congregation and Discipleship Groups as people are looking for opportunities to get real with their faith by being the very Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ. You can read about his Ministry at http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html   We are actively involved in going and supporting Pastor 7 and the great work he is doing to Serve the Lost, the Last & the Least. If a video is worth a thousand words these will indeed be priceless http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsEGkj30R5Y&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0j3NgC8fXw

Restoring Volkswagens as We Restore Our Lives

Restoring Volkswagens as We Restore Our Lives

What Are You Doing to Draw Others Closer to God…Taking Christianity Into the World

Just as an Older VW Needs Love & Attention so Do We Need to Work to Grow Like Him

Well, the Bugs4Christ team started on a new project.  We are working on restoring a bright yellow 71 Super Beetle.  Tonight, Tyler, Curtis, Cole, and I did body work.  This bug does not have major damage but there are quite a few dings, especially on the fenders.  Even though the dings are minor they still take a lot of time to fix right.  We are still learning the fine art of mixing and applying bondo!

Working on the car tonight reminded me that I get a lot like that yellow bug.  My spiritual life has not suffered a major crash but I allow myself to get numerous dings and scratches as I drive down this road called life.  When I fail to consistently pray, study my Bible, worship,… I end up getting dinged up spiritually.  Fortunately we have a savior who wants us to look and feel new.  He died on the cross to forgive our sins (past present and future),  So tonight I am going to spend some time with Him and ask Him to forgive me for neglecting my relationship with Him.   How about you?

John Albrycht, a youth pastor  involved his youth group in the secret restoration of a 1971 VW Beetle. The project was dubbed “Bugs4Christ” and the Beetle soon became an object lesson in how God wants to restore our hearts to a right relationship with him. John wanted his youth to understand the mandate of Hebrews 10:23-25: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope that we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching!” He wanted his youth to feel the power of encouraging others by restoring and giving the gift of unconditional love to the owner of the vintage car. Since that first incredible project, the members of this ministry have been involved in several other restoration projects including on the Mission Field in the desert of New Mexico as we loved and mentored our Native Americans, the Navajo. You can read more at www.Bugs4Christ.webs.com

Our Purpose: Mentor young men and women in their walk with Christ, while teaching them how to restore Volkswagen Beetles. We also model for them Christ’s unconditional love by giving these vehicles to those in need. On the Navajo Indian Reservation in Pueblo Pintado, NM we rebuilt a Volkswagen Beetle “VW” as the talk about the reforming, restoring and redeeming power of Christ. If you would like to be a part of our mission to serve the Lost, the Last and the Least I invite you to consider how you might partner with us by donating a part to the VW that will be used next year or that you family may want to go. For just as God calls us all to serve, we believe that Family Mission Trips are a way to bring all of those you most love closer to God.

To get a feel for our work on the Mission Field in Pueblo Pintado NM might I invite you to watch our video at http://bit.ly/QS0V9 If you listen and watch with an open heart, it will change your world. To gain a glimpse of our vision visit or if your church wants to get involved with our work visit   http://www.hiscpa.com/blog/2009/07/30/casting-a-vision-navajo-family-missions-taking-christianity-into-the-world/

Let Others Know How Much You Love Christ…Taking Christianity Into the World

Let Others Know How Much You Love Christ…Taking Christianity Into the World

The below is a recent example of a note we might receive from a Believer in Christ. Are you letting others know how much you love Christ?

I am an Accounting student in the Georgia State University. Most importantly, however, I am a follower of Christ! For this reason, I was searching the Internet one day to see if there were any Christian CPA firms and His CPA PC was the only one that came up. It also just so happened to be in Georgia. I checked it out and was encouraged to see the many scriptures posted all over your site. For quite some time I have been praying about what the Lord wanted me to do in respect to my future vocation (Missions is something that has been on my heart as well). The more I searched scripture, especially in Acts, I saw how often the brethren took care of the needs of the other brethren. The Apostle Paul also talks about how his hands have provided for himself and those who were with him (like when he stops to make tents). Many of these scriptures were ones I read while in Mexico helping out at an orphanage where most of the kids were followers of Christ.

It is my hope that I will be able to use the degree I will receive to help those in need (like it talks about in the New Testament) and to play a part in missions, locally and abroad. I am looking to work with others who are dedicated to the Lord and His glory!

Duluth/Gwinnett Church News for Christian Men

Duluth/Gwinnett Church News for Christian Men

Men’s Fraternity is returning to the Duluth/Suwanee area.  The series, “Winning at Work and Home” is 16 meetings.  The first “semester” will run for 10 meetings ending right before Christmas.  There is a break over the holidays, then we’ll start back up for the remaining 6 meetings.

Click here to view a video overview of Men’s Fraternity.

The live series will kick off at Duluth First UMC starting Saturday, September 11 at 8:00 a.m. using the DVD series recorded by Robert Lewis, author of “Raising a Modern Day Knight”, “Rocking the Roles: Building a Win-Win Marriage” and “The New Eve – Choosing God’s Best for Your Life” as the stage for the WINNING AT WORK AND HOME.

Imagine the transforming power of men coming together within your church and community to honestly examine their lives and take the courageous steps necessary to embrace authentic manhood on a journey to become who God intends them to be. That is the goal of Men’s Fraternity.

When men connect in life-changing ways, a powerful ripple effect touches families, workplaces, and the church. Deeper connections with God and other men inspire participants to connect more meaningfully in all facets of their lives. They climb beyond the walls of isolation and aspire to a biblical viewpoint marked by integrity, boldness, and compassion.

Through this powerful series, men learn to reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously, and expect God’s greater reward.

Come on Saturday, September 11th at 8:00 a.m. at Duluth First UMC in the Youth Center (called the “Fish Tank”).  Make a commitment that might just change your life…and your family.  You’ll need to order a workbook from the Men’s Fraternity website below.  We will have copies of the workbook material for the first session or two to allow for all books to come in.  Coffee and bagels/pastries will be served.  Follow the signs to the entry when you arrive at the church.  Bring a friend.  Experience this together.

Grow/Community Groups will meet weekly & be limited to 12 people to each group and there will be many groups and times to pick and choose from. Tami and I will be leading one of them, and we will most likely meet on Monday evenings. For those seeking to exponentially grow your faith sign up early, as once groups reach their limits they are filled.

Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

This is an exciting time in the history of our church and a great way to continue to Serve and Grow in God and to become more like our Creator.

Award Winning Duluth/Gwinnett/Alpharetta CPA on Raising Funding for Navajo Family Missions

Taking Christianity Into the World

A lot of GREAT fundraising ideas are going around and I look forward to seeing how these work out for everyone.  Get those going ASAP and let’s see what we can do.  So much of it is about team building and raising awareness within our own communities about our mission trip and the Navajo Indians.

We had a meeting last week for all the new team members and for the people that did come, we had a great opportunity to sit and talk, answer questions, share ideas, fears, and concerns, and get to know each other better.  It was a great night.  One of the things that came out of the meeting is a fundraising idea. We have had a wonderful donation come forward…or I should say, two wonderful angels have come forward and here is part of the e-mail that I received:  “We were so impressed with what some of the families and kids are doing to match whatever the team raises towards dollar for dollar ….”  We are truly, truly blessed to have those angels that help light the path for others!!

We are only two months away from our big trip and I hope you are busy planning, but more importantly, I hope you are getting excited!!!  Please know that we are always here for you if you have anything you need to talk about.

God Bless! In the Matchless Name of Christ,

I am excited to see what God will do to and through us in the desert of New Mexico.

Have you ever wanted to work with someone whom you felt really cared about you, your business, your retirement, and planning for your family? I have a heartfelt conviction that I really want to “serve” my fellow Business Owners and to give advice that hopefully you will feel are beyond the scope of CPA services you ever experienced.

Do you want that ole’ time feeling of being served by someone sensitive to you? I welcome meeting with you FOR FREE to discuss you and your business’s plans.  I work exclusively with business owners who are striving to maximize their profit and potential. I bring to the table 31 plus years of experience as a CPA and 21 years of managing my own successful practice.  I strive to anticipate bumps in the road so that you might be able to focus on the business of running your business. I would welcome meeting with you for an initial consultation. Below you will find just a few of our services. Below is a sample letter we might send a client to ensure that we have all of the required data to properly prepare income tax returns:

In getting started on your returns:

We will need to do both corporate returns prior to finishing your personal.

If you are presently not using one of the companies and do not plan to do so in the future, I suggest we mark this return FINAL and that you notify the Secretary of State and close all accounts, etc. Please advise as to how you would like for me to proceed.

Please confirm if you will be claiming your three children this year and your mother, as you were able to/did last year.

Please forward the property taxes on the car.

Please forward any cash or property contributions to charity, being sure to also forward copies of your year-end tithing statements.

Tax law does not allow us to deduct tuition for private school, but will allow, if you qualify a credit for Child Care Expenses. Please review/advise.

If you can get to me this a.m. documentation of the Estimated Tax Payments for 2009 for IRS/GA then I will most likely be able to get personal return done by 15th.

Please keep in mind that if you have more than one employer or also pay self employment tax that the 2009 limit on the payment of FICA taxes is based upon $106,800 of Earned Income. If you had more than one employer during the year and had combined wages over this limit, you will want to ensure that you claim as a credit against your overall tax bill any excess FICA taxes withheld.

ASAP after I get data for returns I will get them completed and out your way.

Atlanta CPA Seeking Christian Musician to Join us on Family Mission Trip to Serve Our Native Americans: the Navajo/Dine…Taking Christianity Into the World

We have so many youth on the reservation that we are not reaching and I’ve been in constant prayer for ways for us to connect with them and share with them.  They have so few role models (especially males) and while we do a really great VBS and a really great women’s bible study, we are not hitting the right spot when it comes to the teens and the teenage years are when they need it most. I am seeking a Christian Musician who loves the Lord, who wants to serve others who will be willing to offer music lessons of all types to our Navajo children.

I am putting together some promotional materials to send out to the reservation and want to put your ministry on there as well.  I ask that you pray and see if God leads you to serve alongside us on the Reservation the second week of July, 2010.

I invite you to join us as the many faces of Pueblo Pintado as we seek to Worship, Grow and Serve our Most High God. In the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, I pray….

Atlanta CPA Tells How to Unleash the Power of Jesus Christ in Your Life…Taking Christianity Into the World

Atlanta CPA Tells How to Unleash the Power of Jesus Christ in Your Life…Taking Christianity Into the World

It is often said that the last words of a man are his most important. Those are the ones that he wants you to hear the most.

When Jesus left this world just before His ascension into Heaven, he exhorted us to go into the world and tell others the Good News of Salvation and to be a witness to others. I believe there is no greater way to call on the power of an Almighty God than during your times of service to Him. I have personally watched both within my own family and in others who are changed, as God’s power flows through their pores and out into the roads and byways of life to be redeemed and reformed creatures of God. Not changed as the world sees them, but changed as God sees them and uses them to reign down His power in their lives.

Worship, Grow, And Serve.  These are not just the motto of our church, but also the very words by which Jesus led his life. In Pueblo Pintado we seek to edify and mimic his life as He was the example we are to emulate. Though the New Testament tells us that Jesus did go to church, it was out in the world that He emulated his Father in Heaven.

In the desert of New Mexico we have nailed our sins to the cross, had foot washings and celebrated the power and majesty of Jesus with the joy of service and with most importantly our hearts.

Jesus told us that it is indeed our brothers and sisters in Christ who will become our family. On every mission trip I have attended there is a moment in time when it becomes obvious to all, that God is indeed the perfector of our faith and the reason for our journey. There on the reservation we all sweat through the efforts of our work, labored for good, and served our Glorious Savior.

There is only one who is committed to you not serving on a mission trip and he will do anything that he can to destroy you and his name is Satan. Do not let the evil one get in your way of God blessing you in ways that are beyond your wildest imagination. No matter where you are on your Spiritual Walk, whether a New Believer or Old, Missions and seeking to serve Beyond our Walls is the mark of an impassioned Believer on fire for the Kingdom of God. Many of us, if not all of us have frequently asked “What Can I Do on a Mission Trip, What Do I Have to Offer, or What Can I Say to Encourage Others?”

When Jesus looks about for those to serve, He does not call the equipped but rather He chooses to equip the Called. In this way, God can gain all of the glory for it is only when we humble and lower ourselves that God can be truly exalted. Whether your family is a family of one or of many, whether married, single, widowed or single again, God has a destiny and a plan for you and your life. In Pueblo Pintado we are committed to helping you discover what God has called YOU to be as we seek to Serve the The Lost, the Last and the Least.

Whether you see yourself as shy or bold, can sign, read, cook,  hold a hammer, talk to kids or not, Pueblo Pintado and Missions holds a unique opportunity and key to unlock the Power of God in Your Life. Though Missions Start at Home, in your workplace or in your school, God has a destiny or you and your life. Join us as we Seek to Glorify God Together.

As we close, I would like to invite all who have ever served on a Pueblo Pintado Mission Trip to stand as both a testimony to their service and so that you might capture a bit of their vision God has revealed to them and their life.

I invite you to join us as the many faces of Pueblo Pintado as we seek to Worship, Grow and Serve our Most High God. In the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, I pray….

To gain a glimpse of our vision visit or if your church wants to get involved with our work visit http://www.hiscpa.com/blog/2009/07/30/casting-a-vision-navajo-family-missions-taking-christianity-into-the-world/

If you believe a picture is worth a thousand words then perhaps this is a Million Dollar Video. I invite you to see what God is doing with Navajo Family Missions as we Take Christianity Into the World.

I entreat you to pray before you watch, that you watch with a open heart, and then that you listen to the Lion of Judah, Our God, speaking to your heart. Perhaps your family, your church, your Bible study group might join our Family Missions Work to the Navajo as we call down the power of Almighty God as we Worship, Grow and Serve Jesus Christ. See God at work at  http://bit.ly/QS0V9 If you listen and watch with an open heart, it will change your world.
