JESUS IS!!!

Often we look to our own desires and wishes quickly forgetting who God IS and what He IS.

On this Good Friday it was anything but Good. It was an total disaster. He was imprisoned, flogged, his clothes were gambled for, he was ridiculed and beaten, he was crucified and pierced but NOT for anything He did but for what We did.

Jesus was alone in the Garden of Gesthame the night before with his disciples who would not even stay awake to pray with Him. Soon after His capture all of his fled while he bled for us. Though he said he would stand strong, Peter denied Jesus three times just as we do when we seek our own way. This Easter I invite you to see your life a new way. HIS WAY!

Jesus himself is listening to you wherever you are, whatever you are doing. RIGHT NOW!

Jesus IS!!!

Abba, our Father.

The Most Holy of Priests.

Our Savior, a Redeemer.

A Living Approachable Example.

Steadfast. Steady, a Rock in Rough Seas.

Forgiving Offering Grace, Love and Eternal Life.

The Only Real Reason that Makes Sense in a Otherwise Silly World.

Jesus did not forsake us and fulfilled His destiny by dying on a cross for your sins. Today, will you did your fingers into the bowl as Judas did forsaking Him or will you Stand Strong for Christ!

Seek God With All Your Heart Soul and Might and He Will Rise You Up at the Anointed Time!

In the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ,

john

Do You Have Teens Who Are Looking for a Mission Trip This Summer?

Taking Christianity Into the World

Recently I received a note from one of our very important team members that speaks volumes as to why I believe that Mission work is one the very best ways to release God’s power into your life. I invite you to read it solely and listen to God’s pulling on your heart.

Good morning family. It always amazes me of God’s perfect timing. Last evening some of us met to discuss future plans for our next visit to our second home, Pueblo Pintado and this a.m. I finally carve time out of my busy schedule to sit and read Carol’s amazing words of reflection on our trip this year to Pueblo Pintado!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God for Carols’ gift and time to assist us in remembering who’s we are and who we serve. Carol I can’t thank you enough for your special gift to us all. I was once again able to enjoy our journey and mission, but to also get caught up with the other Miracles God has provided for other team members. PRAISE GOD!

As we were driving home last evening (he tired from a long day at work) we both agreed how blessed and full of sweetness our life has become. Our PP family adds to that sweet taste and fills our hearts to a different level. It is amazing how comfortable and safe I feel with my mission team family. I truly have nothing to hide, I am able to share my weaknesses and strengths and am loved for both. Thank you Lord for your blessings on this mission team. We feel your love and spirit.

In God’s Grace, Awee’ Chiin (My Navajo Name)

To gain a bit of our work there I invite you to watch our video. I entreat you to pray before you watch, that you watch with a open heart, and then that you listen to the Lion of Judah, Our God, speaking to your heart. Perhaps your family, your church, your Bible study group might join our Family Missions Work to the Navajo as we call down the power of Almighty God as we Worship, Grow and Serve Jesus Christ. See God at work at http://bit.ly/QS0V9 If you listen and watch with an open heart, it will change your world.

To Get Into Heaven Do You Have to Be Baptized?

To Get Into Heaven Do You Have to Be Baptized?

I grew up in a Southern Baptist church at the time was one of the first mega-churches in Atlanta and the world. There we had a baptismal pool and it was expected that you would be baptized after you accepted Christ. Our pastor used a pulpit from each he gave great sermons each and every Sunday, People frequently will ask me “when was it that I was saved?”

To which I answer “most every Sunday” as sometimes the sermons scared me and I did not want to take any chances that I might live eternity in the heat of hell rather than the glorious streets of Heaven.

However it was in my teens that I first accepted Christ and I now rest in the assurance that my destiny is with Him (John 3:16).

There I was taught that you have to be baptized to gain access to Heaven.

From there I went to a Presbyterian church that that did not even have a Baptismal pool but did sprinkle to signify your acceptance where I also learned that not all churches/denominations even have an Altar Call.

I soon learned that many churches did not even have a pulpit. I soon began to love this style of worship as it felt our pastor was more accessible and felt more like the New Testament teaching of Jesus made our faith walk more personal. However there is nowhere in the Bible that I am aware of that says either having a pulpit or not having one is better.

We have been doing mission work for six years to serve our Native American Indians, the Navajo. We feel that this has been a divine appointment to our life as God continues to give us strength for the journey and the many challenges that come with serving God for Satan is out to get those who seek to serve Him.

Frequently while we are on the Navajo reservation we are asked “where are you from” seeking to know what church sent us. To which I always reply “If you are asking who we are here representing, we are here to represent Christ. If you are asking where we came from, we came from Duluth GA. If you are asking what denomination is of the church we attend, it is a Methodist church.”

Christ came to break the bond of the old law of the Old Testament seeking to create a new way of worship and relationship with Him. In so doing we warred with the sin of our world and the religious leaders of the day, who had forgotten their first love of Christ and of others.

Now back to our question…Do You Have to be Baptized to Get Into Heaven?

If you say yes then you make Christ words on the cross untrue as He told the thief on the cross “today you will be with me in paradise [Heaven].”  But Jesus words cannot be untrue as He as perfect.

However Jesus himself was baptized by John the Baptist as a symbol of both His upcoming death and resurrection. His baptism is SO important we are still talking about it 2000 years later. And God himself spoke to Jesus after His baptism “this is my son of whom I am most proud.” So should we follow in His foot-steps by our baptism whether we be baptized in a pool or by sprinkling. Just as He taught us how to pray by the Lords Prayer we are to follow His example by our life as an encouragement to others and indeed a witness to others we are now sealed as His.

However Jesus was not baptized because he accepted God as He was indeed God incarnate, “God in the flesh” but He was willing to submit to the will of His Father, just as we should be.

This world is tough and at times really tough. As Believers we need to focus on the things that unite us and not those that separate us as many items such as having a pulpit or not having a pulpit are a nuance and a personal preference. They are not a religion. They are not my religion!

Continue to Seek God in all that you do and He will raise you up at the anointed time.

There are those around you who need an encouraging word and not a critique for Christ came to serve the World and not to rule over it.

Who are you serving today?

What groups of people do you seek to serve every day?

Yes there are “non-negotiables” in the Bible (John 14:6) but many of the things we bicker over are not. Seek God with all your heart soul and might and to see to “love others as yourself.”

Join us as we seek to focus on what unites us as we Take Christianity into the World.

Gwinnett, Johns Creek, Atlanta CPA Asks: Do You Know What Real Joy Is?

You know happiness is only a temporary feeling, but joy is permanent with the Lord in your heart. Joy is true comfort knowing that God is always with you no matter if you are happy or facing a serious trial in your life. Joy is knowing that our Almighty God is the creator of all things on this beautiful planet we live on. Just look around at the mountains, lakes, seas, and all the heavenly bodies. What joy it is to know that the God who blessed us with all these things loves us even more, more than we can imagine.

Science keeps looking as to how all this came about, They are blind to the fact that God brought it all about and just how He did it will be always be a mystery they will never solve. They will always come up short in solving a problem that only He will reveal when it is His time. For me I do not care how God does anything, I am just thankful that I know whatever and however He does is for the best and according to His plan.

He is my Rock of salvation. He is the Shepherd of the flock that I hope to a part of at the day of calling. How much does he love us? Could you kill your son or daughter for the sake of the world? I could not, but He did and He did it just for us. How much more joy do you need in your life. Thank you Father for loving us first!!!!!!

Are You Put Out With God Today?

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

Roswell, Dunwoody, Johns Creek  CPA Asks…Are You Put Out With God Today?

Has Life Dealt You a Tough Hand Lately?

If so read on….If not you might be in heaven already…

Each and every one of  you are dearly loved and I never want you to feel like you are in your pain alone. We are all here with you and are trying to understand as much as we can in this life not having gone through this exact experience before. Often we need to seek out counseling just to have someone to talk too that can listen like you need them to and none of us can provide just the right words or comfort that it’s going to take to see you through this. In life – you are going to have to pray your way through this (through everything). God  is the only thing that will give you the strength to get through each day and make the healing process easier.

Though there may not seem like it there is a light at the end of every tunnel and you have to keep looking for that light. Only God can give you that. We will never understand the reason God does things, but as long as we question and know that God has it in HIS control, we have to find some comfort in that. My prayer for you is that you will find comfort in HIM, you will crawl in HIS lap when the pain becomes overbearing and you don’t feel like you can go on and no one understands.

I will continue to pray that you talk to HIM constantly – not just now but forever – and that you go to HIM in your pain, in your joy, in everything. I always hate that phrase that God will never give you more than you can handle, I know it’s true but I hate it. I know that regardless of what HE gives us to deal with, HE will walk beside us and lift us up and carry us and cradle us until we get through it.

We are all here for you and while it may seem like we “have it altogether”, I can assure you that we don’t – we fall apart, we cry, we question, we hurt – but the main thing is – we want you to get better, we want you to get strong and we want you to take it one day at a time.

We want everything in the world for you…happiness, love, work success, life success, family, peace, faith and at the core of it all – a life based on God…and part of all that we say and do is to try and help you get to that point. We screw up! We are far from perfect! Sometimes we simply not good at it! But I can assure you that in every step of it – we are doing it out of love, concern, caring, compassion and quite honestly, we are living the best way we know how. And while that may not always be good enough – know that we strive everyday to be what God made us to be and that we let you both know that regardless of what is said, done, expressed…at the end of the day – we love you more than life itself, we love you unconditionally, everything we do is done with the best intentions, we love you with all our hearts and all our souls, we thank God for you and we will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS be here for you and you will always have a soft, safe place to fall.

As brothers and sisters in Christ we are kindred hearts in God so that you and I could find each other and share our life experiences and guide each other through this weird , crazy, sometimes painful, sometimes joyful, thing called life. God is there right now, waiting for you to lean on Him each and every second of the day. Call on Him. He is patiently waiting.

I believe Dr. King would continue in his efforts to encourage all in their faith of Christ and for all peoples of the world to see the world as God would.

Snellville, Tucker/Duluth CPA: Why I do Missions?

Snellville, Tucker/Duluth CPA: Why I do Missions?

Serving God Changes People!

Recently my bride was asked to give a letter of recommendation to one of our fell Warriors for the Kingdom of God. The words speak for themselves.

I have been leading a mission team for six years to a Navajo Indian Reservation in Pueblo Pintado, New Mexico.  The trip is an 8 day trip in the middle of summer.  The area where we serve is riddled with alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse and suicides.  At present, 50% of the population of Pueblo Pintado is without electricity or running water. There is very little work in the area so for those who can find a job, it means leaving their children at home for 10-14 hours a day.

The last three summers, I have had the honor and privilege of having Jesse as one of my team members.  Jesse joined our team knowing only 4 people out of a 60 member team but was quick to introduce himself and truly become a team member.  His outgoing personality and hard work ethic were apparent from the very beginning.  The first year on the team, Jesse helped with the younger Navajo children – leading, teaching, and helping them through daily activities.  This is not an easy task as there are, at times, language barriers, and behavior issues due to the children coming from homes with domestic violence and child abuse, alcohol and drug abuse.

Jesse quickly developed relationships and friendships with these children that are still strong to this day.  His compassion for the children and willingness to help and do whatever needed to be done, made him a true standout on his first trip.

The second year Jesse joined the team, he was asked to step into a different role because of the wonderful job he did the previous summer.  He was asked to help with sports camp which engages the teenagers of Pueblo Pintado as they learn new sports while at the same time, giving them an opportunity to talk about themselves, share their struggles and for our team members to listen and help guide them with love and compassion. Again, Jesse accepted the task and went far beyond what was expected of him. And even though he was no longer helping with the younger children from the previous year, many of them sought him out to spend time with him and seek his advice and compassion.

This last summer, the only problem that we had with Jesse was that there was not enough of him and we needed him to fill many different roles.   However, he once again went above and beyond and was asked not only to take on a more active role but also to take on a larger leadership role as well.  Jesse filled all those roles brilliantly.  He was in charge of a project that required him to lead and oversee his peers through an activity that draws the Navajo population in from 5 different communities with over 200 people in attendance. Jesse was organized, efficient and authoritative and managed the project to perfection and it was the best event we have had so far.  Because of his leadership, all of the Navajo people in attendance were treated to a fun filled, night that was well organized and well managed.

Jesse would be an asset to any school and his personality, commitment, motivation and leadership will prove to bring him great success in whatever path he chooses.

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
