Gwinnett CPA Helping with Coordination of Thanksgiving Service Project to Feed the Homeless of Atlanta

Since we have people who will be coming from different areas/different churches, etc., we thought it might be nice to have a quick meet & greet for everyone to meet, make final plans and answer any questions you might have about Thanksgiving Day.  So, Tuesday, November 17th we are going to gather at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church (1795 Old Peachtree Road, Duluth 30097) in the Town Hall at 6:30PM.

At that time, we will have a sign up sheet for everyone and are asking everyone to provide at least one dish to take with us down to The Gardens.  If you have friends who might be willing to cook an extra dish of whatever they are serving their families for Thanksgiving, please ask them to contribute – it would be such a huge help. Right now these are the food items that we are looking for:

For The Gardens: Need enough to feed around 130

Sweet Potato Casserole

Potato Dish (casserole, scalloped, mashed, etc.)

Green Bean Casserole

Congealed Salad or Fruit Salad

Turkey (15-17)

Hams (at least 3)

Pies

Paper Products (Plates, Napkins, Cutlery, Cups)

Bread

Drinks

For the homeless sack lunches:  Need 150 lunches

Paper Bags

Brownies or cookies

Sandwich Bread

Turkeys (4-5)

Ham (2-3)

Mayo & Mustard Packets

Apples

Water Bottles

Chips

Of course, we are also still taking donations of coats, blankets, caps, gloves, socks, etc.

If you would like a full list of needed items, please let me know and I’ll forward it to you.

Thanks so much and hope to see you on Tuesday.
