I Will Never Be the Same…Taking Christianity Into the World

I will never be the same. I will tell all I see.

I cannot go back. His way is my way.

I am forever His. We will always be together.

I will live with Him forever in the Heavens.

I have seen the Light and He is good.

I have felt His presence. I know he looks after me through thick and thin.

I have felt His forgiveness. He has blessed by obedience.

I have seen His strength. He is my DNA.

I have the power of the Holy Spirit. He lifts me up.

I have felt His mercy. I have true inner peace.

I know His love. I am a part of the Body.

I am unduly blessed. Words cannot express by joy.

I am uniquely His. He made me in His image.

I have a destiny. I know where I am going.

I have read His Word. His words lift me up to higher heights.

I have tested His truth. His words are timeless and His truth enduring.

I have touched His garment. I know what it is like to be in His presence.

I will always persevere. No one can stop me.

I am an over comer. I can do all things in His name.

I am saved. By faith alone. WOW.

I cannot be lost. He will never let anyone have me.

No one can snatch me from His hand. I know where I am headed.

I know He is here. He has my “back” all the time, while still guiding my steps.

I know He is watching. He is making a way for me to follow.

I know He is guiding. He has measured the distance and prepared my heart.

I am forever His. He promises me eternity and I have a mansion in Heaven.

I cannot go back. Satan can go back to where he lives.

I will never be the same.

Unmerited Favor/Grace: God’s Perfect Expression of Love…Taking Christianity Into the World

Unmerited Favor/Grace: God’s Perfect Expression of Love…Taking Christianity Into the World

In my youth and in my lack of understanding of truth and without wisdom, I used to want what was “fair” and what was “coming to me.” However as Jesus continues His work in me I have learned that nothing could be further from the truth. I want grace: God’s unmerited favor.

Salvation is a free gift of the highest order that all we have to do accept. Grace is God giving of himself and offering forgiveness rather than condemnation for those who seek it. For those who think they want what they deserve, I would ask them to evaluate the truth. If you have ever spoken too quickly or harshly, do you desire to be scolded or chastised. If you are driving too fast and are pulled over by the police, would you prefer a warning or a ticket. If you are student and fail to either remember or turn in your homework, do you want a “F” as a grade or would you prefer the chance of a “do over” or as golfers prefer to call a mulligan.

Grace is the highest form of love for it is love in action. It is not words or mere deeds but it is the act of being like Jesus Christ. Imagine if our faith was “works based” and that we had to work our way into Heaven. We would never be able to do enough or be good enough to earn our way into eternity as there would always be more to do and a higher standard yet to aspire to.

It was by Jesus coming to earth that He paid the ultimate price, death on a cross and in so doing was a perfect example of His sacrifice, His love, His commitment to us, that was indeed His unblemished expression of love offering us eternal favor and grace.

Duluth CPA Takes Christianity Into the World…What Does Being a Christian CPA Mean

Duluth CPA Takes Christianity Into the World…What Does Being a Christian CPA Mean

www.HisCPA.com

Frequently as Believers we make sharing a faith hard, while Jesus said that Christians would be known by their love. Whether you are Baptist, Episcopal, Methodist, or Presbyterian we are all united by our faith in Jesus Christ. Several years ago God laid on my hear that I should establish  a different kind of CPA firm — one that would bring the principles of Jesus Christ to the practice of Accounting.

During this time, his practice has been growing, as clients who are seeking a Christian accountant who believes in Christ’s principles take advantage of His CPA for their business accounting, personal financial planning, and tax preparation needs. My CPA practice is how I provide for my family. But our speaking engagements, our books, our mission work and our involvement in the pastoral relations committee is what we are. We are a part of the Body of Christ, made for a specific purpose and destined to be with Him forever.

Below is my testimony on how he was led to create a Christian CPA practice to serve business owners throughout Metro Atlanta, America and the World.

Managing my own successful CPA practice in Gwinnett County for over twenty years, I continue to feel God’s calling on my heart and his desire for me to be more about Him. I have always felt it was my mission to witness to those I came in contact with in both my business and social contacts, but God continued to lay it on my heart that He wanted much more.

Even though  I was willing to share my Christian faith with people to whom I came in contact with, God was calling and he wanted me to be much more overt, but loving, to share the love of God. Having practiced the Golden Rule in my CPA firm for years, God was calling to be the true center of my life and not just a major player.

With my new bride now of five years, we set out on a journey that has led us on mission trips, publishing books, changing Georgia law, and starting a new accounting firm, HIS CPA, P.C.

Though we wanted to start the company at the beginning of the year God made it necessary to start the firm immediately as He wanted it done then and not later. To this end we have been faithful and continue to spread the Good News of our faith and Christianity to anyone who would like to hear.

Our faith and our lives intersect. Though we still have much to learn to grow to be like Him, we have studied his word and continue to work in Bible studies to share his love with others. My CPA firm is committed to the One who made me and we act on this daily by “Serving HIM by serving You…one tax return at a time”.

True Christian Friendship…Taking Christianity Into the World

True Christian Friendship…Taking Christianity Into the World

Friendship 101

Christian Friendship was modeled by Jesus Christ himself when he walked the world. He illustrated by his example of what true friendship is all about. As Believers we are not be led astray to see friendship as the world does but as presented in the Bible as God’s word. Attributes of a true friendship is:

-Not demanding. True friendship seeks first to understand others and to see the world through others eyes. Being a fried to others does not mean you accept or endorse what others are doing, if they are wrong, but it seeks to learn the opinions and beliefs of others, while being sure to run all decisions in life through the filter of God’s word: the Bible. True friendship is not exclusive and will not seek to limit but rather to encourage your growth personally as well as professionally. A real friend will not be threatened by the existence of others who are close to you.

-A Hero. A true friend will also be a hero, but not in the sense that you worship them, but rather that they will stand by your side when all others fail to encourage and support you. Jesus, though also Abba Father, is also our friend as he indeed chooses to call us his bridegroom as his love for us is so great. Mark 2:20But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.” God will never leave or forsake us as we should lift others up whose pursuit is the Kingdom.

-Is Open. Though there are many in our lives for whom our love will be founded on who they are today. However true friendship is based upon the ability to see others as they are as they change and evolve in life. Though others interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes may change, true friendship will be there through thick and then enduring all what lay ahead both good and bad.

-Spiritual. True friendship is based upon a higher calling, a spiritual plane, where one comes to know the true inner self and the heart of a persona rather than the way the world sees a person being based on fame, wealth, beauty, intelligence, strength or pride. True friendship requires us to obtain the attributes of Christ himself.

Jesus Christ himself was the only perfect model of friendship as he was not threatened by the friendship of others, he will never desert or forsake you, will be there as I change and grow, and is ready to talk to me at a moment’s notice. Jesus is patient with me as a friend, looking for and seeking always the best for me and my life. Though the feelings of love with change and frequently fade over time, true friendship is based upon mutual respect. It is wise when seeking to be a friend to frequently consider that it is often better to be kind, that it is to be right. Also, learning to rise above life’s circumstances allows us the opportunity to gain the altitude and attitude to see life from God’s perspective enabling us to be Jesus hands and feet in the lives of others.

Christian CPA Teaches Multi-State Tax Reporting/Incorporating for Corporations

Christian CPA Teaches Multi-State Tax Reporting/Incorporating for Corporations

CPA Serving Atlanta GA & Beyond

When preparing your year-end corporate income tax returns one of the most misused sections tax law is the reporting of taxable income (loss) to all states where a company transacts business. In general terms, companies should register as a corporation in all states where it regularly performs business operations. In general terms this would require legal registration in all states where a business has employees or a physical presence. However if you, for example, have an office in Georgia, but serve clients in other states while doing all of the work in Georgia, then you would register your company only in Georgia as this would be the only state where you physically transact business. Incorporation can be typically be reduced to two types:

Domicile. A corporation’s legal domicile is the location or state that a corporation originally incorporates. Typically this is also where the corporate home or only office of a company is located.

Foreign Corporation. Generally speaking in regards to incorporation issues for U.S. companies, a foreign corporation designation is reserved for corporations that are legally domiciled in other states and are transacting business in that state different from their original incorporation.

Similarly it will be true if you are a Georgia retailer and have clients both in and out of the state. For income tax purposes all of the income (as indeed all of the operations are in Georgia) would be reported and appropriate taxes paid to Georgia alone. However, for sales tax purposes our retailer does not have to collect sales taxes on retail shipments to physical locations outside the state of Georgia but to only collect and remit sales taxes on retail sales from Georgia locations or items shipped to addresses physically within the state of Georgia.

Calculation of state taxable income varies from state to state but most, while using their own specific formulas, allocate income based upon a combination and weighting of several factors including sales, payroll, rent and fixed assets. It is always advantageous to first ensure that the Federal Tax Return is correct before contemplating the assessment and specific monetary allocations by state. It is prudent as a quality control procedure to review allocations between years for consistency and comparability being sure to be able to explain or correct any substantive variances. By totaling the allocations by state in terms of both dollars and percent preparers are best able to ensure that allocations are appropriate as well as accurate.

Maybe you are new in town or have just started your business and you don’t know where to turn. So you log into the Internet and your computer and begin to look on-line for a CPA in your area whose talents might be best suited to help you. Your goal will be to find a CPA whose talent and expertise fits your specific business needs and working style. CPA’s, like physicians, specialize and are usually better versed in one expertise or another. Your first task should be to evaluate the CPA’s web site to discover both the quality and quantity of the content as well as to whether or not it is current. By reading through several of the articles you will soon discover a bit about the CPA, his business habits and desires, his tenaciousness and technical ability. If the web-site fails this test then perhaps it is time to move along to the next option. If their material is insightful, practical and gives you a new way to look at your tax and business issues, then an initial phone consultation would be advantageous. If your conversation flows easily and you feel like you have a good rapport, then it would be prudent to have a face-to-face meeting to go forward in your relationship. It as is well at this point then, just to be sure, proper due diligence would include the checking of references. There is much to know about this process and the below articles will do much to equip you and speed you on your way to a wise and judicious business decision.
